An alert has been issued for a man who allegedly stole merchandise from Stop & Shop on Long Island last month.

Suffolk County Police said that a man walked into Stop & Shop in n Smithtown on Main Street at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, stealing an assortment of cosmetics. The stolen items were valued at approximately $165.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect has been asked to contact Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section investigators by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
